Testing hypotheses

Our exploration of the fossil record has raised many questions:

How can we identify dietary variations between different herbivorous and omnivorous mammals from dental tissues? How did species share resources? Which species were most affected by climate change? Which species have shown significant adaptive capacities?

To answer these questions, controlled feeding trials have been conducted out on domestic mammals (sheep or pigs).

The aim is to measure variations in ecological proxies on dental tissues as a function of various parameters.
